Krystallpalast Varieté Leipzig is a privately run cultural institution established in 1997 that combines hospitality and variety entertainment. There is seating for 100 people in the restaurant, 50 in the Fridel Hönisch Salon and 180 in the Varieté theatre. With its international variety shows, which change every three months, Krystallpalast Varieté Leipzig entertains its guests far beyond Leipzig's city limits. Since 2011, Krystallpalast Varieté has also been operating VINETA on Störmthaler Lake as an extraordinary venue for events in the Leipziger Neuseenland region.
Internship period
Krystallpalast Varieté Leipzig recruits interns to work in the areas of artistic direction, show production, event management and public relations for at least two months (preferably longer) all year round.
Position requirements: Good command of English, ability to work flexible hours, accommodation in Leipzig or the surrounding area, ideally a category B driving licence.
What awaits you: As a Production Assistant, you will support the Artistic Director with show production, performer support and administration of the Artistic Operations Office.
Furthermore, you will work in the area of event management and get to know the daily processes involved in a privately run cultural institution. During your internship, you will work with performers from various countries and cultural backgrounds, and as you take on more responsibility, you will be assigned independent projects if you so wish. Due to the company’s size ( SME), you will obtain a good overview of individual departments, you will have defined contacts within the company and a friendly and cooperative place to work. If required, we are happy to advise you on semester or BA dissertations.
