Outstanding young talents

In recent years, the Newcomer Show at the Krystallpalast Varieté Leipzig has proven itself not only as a stage for elite rising stars but also as a hub for creative exchange. The special feature: there are no age restrictions.

A newcomer is someone who has not yet performed on a German variety stage. Artists from all over the world apply to participate: graduates of renowned circus schools as well as self-taught performers. From 250 to 350 applications, the best 12 to 14 acts are selected. Over four evenings, the most extraordinary and high-caliber acts come together in a show full of highlights.

On the final evening, a professional jury - composed of representatives from Germany’s leading variety theaters - decides on the awards, which are traditionally linked to engagements at the respective venues. Particularly spectacular are the Audience Award and the Grand Jury Prize - each accompanied by a contract offer for the Krystallpalast Varieté itself.
