General information
The Newcomershow at Krystallpalast Varieté is a festival for variety and circus artists who have not
yet performed in a German variety. It is attended by many agents and artistic directors of the leading
cabarets in Germany, as well as an international crowd of professionals who book acts for festivals,
circus and theaters. Many former participants got their first variety contracts during the event. There
is no age limit.

Awards
There is a jury who will award up to four acts. The main award includes a contract in a show at
Krystallpalast Varieté. The jury on Sunday consists of 6-7 representatives of variety theaters. Every
performance will be judged in three categories:
- Technique: maximum 10 points
- Presentation: maximum 10 points
- Originality: maximum 10 points
Furthermore the audience will choose their favourite act. The audience results of both shows will be
collected and counted on Sunday.
